| Abstract: | A new joining method for ceramics by microwave heating was describes and the use of microwave energy appears to be of partical values and applied prospects. Compared with conventional joining, microwave joining has following advantages: (1)low energy consumption; (2)rapid heating rate; (3)high quality joint,etc. The characteristics, mechanism, techniques of microwave joining and its development and prospects are analyzed and discussed comprehensively in this paper. |
