| Abstract: | This paper presents the philosophy and methodology in defining the intersection points of survey lines and well locations in a computer aid way based on geodesic measurements. A computer code has been devcl
oped which is both practical and flexible and has features as follows : (1) its calculating results can be given either in tabular form or with a map of survey lines, (2) its database can be easily appended, deleted or modified and the subsequent results are yielded rapidly. Practice showed that this method is capable of reducing errors whether they are artificial or caused by scaling. As a consequence of applying the method, heavy manual operations are avoided and efficiency and accuracy are improved. |
