| Abstract: | A method is developed, suitable for design purposes, which allows approximate post-flashover fire temperatures to be calculated without the use of computer codes. This method may be used for thermoplastic pool fires, wood crib fires, and other fires of known fuel release rate. Both ventilation-limited and fuel rate-limited fires are treated. Results typically agree to within 3% of exact computer code solutions. |
