| Abstract: | Blue and white decoration on porcelain as the quintessence of Chinese culture was exclusively used on ceramics.This paper analyzes the characteristics of the decorative symbols on blue and white porcelain from the perspective of semiotics,and explores their applications in modern design with an aim to open up new research areas for blue and white decoration on porcelain. |
