| Abstract: | The Lupu Great Bridge is a middle-support-style arched bridge.Engineers adopted a home-made self-anchored on-arch crane equipped with progressive lifting jacks to install arch ribs of the middle span.In this article, the author introduces the design and construction of some temporary equipment and devices such as the on-arch crane, movable scaffolding and temporary wind bracing and so on, and states the high-level lifting position-setting, measure and control technology for large structural members and so forth. |
