Abstract: | In answer to the question If Interactive Video is the Goal, What is the Best Educational Means to Achieving It?, it is discovered that the wrong question typically gets posited in this instance. Instead, proponents of interactive video should recognize it merely as a tool, and introduce it as such to its target populations of students, teachers, administrators, and others involved in the educational process. A review of the literature on interactive video is included, including discussions on computer-assisted learning, changing conceptions, other-variable relevance, and video. Summaries are given of interviews with 10 persons actually working with interactive video in education, and then the probable next steps are taken under consideration. |
