The manorial and fanciful Luarca, has suited the shapes of the Black river throughout its expansion. It has been a natural, slow growth following the guideline conditioned by the river. Nonetheless, the abrupt relief features, the interferences caused by railways networks and the beginning of speculative development have ended up in collapsing this winding, natural and continuous growing. The scattered rootless city resulting runs the risk of becoming but a deceitful postcard picture.
