Abstract: | We have formulated physicochemical principles of environmentally safe technologies for processing typical arsenic-containing nonferrous metals production waste via acid and alkaline stripping and chemical reduction. Our results indicate that the most efficient process for the preparation of crude arsenic compounds is sulfuric acid extraction of cake components. Detailed studies, using an arsenic-calcium cake as a test system, demonstrate that nonferrous metals production wastes are promising raw materials for the preparation of high-purity arsenic, its compounds, and other valuable metals. |
