The systems control theory and method in urban planning

This paper introduces the system control theory into urban planning, starting with the system definition and attribute and the features of the urban system, to deal with the objective, the duty and the object of the urban planning system models; how to forecast the establishment of models, scheme design and appraisal of urban planning and the difficulties of the method are now confronted with. The paper tries to appraise the function and the applicable scope of the systems control method in urban research so as to analyze the urban figure more reasonably, and to predict the prospects of the urban development.
