The Circulation Design and the Scenario Creation

The circulation is the soul of architectural space. Good circulation design is actuallya kind of situation creation. Firstly, this paper clarifies the concept of scenario creation andthe significance of the circulation design. Then it reveals the unique charm of the situationcreation by circulation design through the analysis of the classic case of the circulation design,especially by the investigation and personal experience of two outstanding buildings: the VillaSavoye and the Quai Branly Museum. Finally, it summarizes the basic methods for situationcreation in circulation design.
