| Abstract: | Too much attention is paid to the impartment of knowledge to students in traditional college English teaching and the cultivation of the students' abilities in using the target language is often ignored. This paper analyzes the present situation of college English teaching in China and stresses that it is of great importance to increase language input in class to improve students' communicative abilities. |
