Birefringence characteristics of benzocyclobutene rib optical waveguides |

| Abstract: | Zero-birefringence benzocyclobutene polymer rib waveguides as well as waveguides that exhibit low birefringence over a wide range of temperature are demonstrated. Experimental results agree well with theoretical calculations that take into account stress-induced birefringence. |
