The ＂Three lanes and seven alleys＂ is the most characteristic ancient architectural complex in Fuzhou city,and is renowned as ＂the museum of historic building of Ming and Qing Dynasties＂.Door is the prelude of a building space,besides it is the punchline of the whole building.Carrying the history and culture of the building,the door not only has its utility function,but also embodies some social culture such as Feng Shui、rite system etc.Its artistic features and esthetic merit focus on its model style,furthermore on the deep cultures such as profound moral that implied by decorative patterns.Discussing the door＇s aesthetic value is of importance in studying and learning historic building and folk culture.
