"The Army, Navy, and Air Force are currently investing approximately twelve to fifteen million dollars a year in psychological research. The bulk of this money is expended upon in-service personnel and facilities with roughly 25 per cent going into contracts with civilian universities and research agencies." Psychology was formerly concerned with personnel selection and classification problems; now is also concerned with training and equipment design.
