| Abstract: | Seeing that it is difficult to measure the index of rock formation drillability in an oil field,a new methbd for predicting drilling velocities is presented, which involves two new concepts for correcting the errors formulated. They are rock drillability curves and drilling velocity coefficient.Drilling velocities predicted by the method are consistent with ones obtained in reality. |
