Weighted application blank analysis of "contingency" items.

This note discusses the effect of assigning weights independently to such related item categories as "marital status" and "number of children," where "single status" forces a "no children" response. It is suggested that, in the contingent item-category, the "can't respond" group be separated out before percents and weights are computed on the rest of the sample.
