Abstract: | Results are given of experimental and theoretical investigation of the efficiency of using SGK-1 intumescent coating for the protection of multilayer container with annular air gaps against the effect of fire. The procedure and special features of performing full-scale firing tests are considered. A conjugate physico-mathematical model is suggested for describing the heating of a multilayer container with fireproof coating of intumescent type. Good agreement is obtained of the prediction and experimental data on unsteady-state heating of internal layers of the container. It is demonstrated that the use of SGK-1 intumescent coating enables one to provide reliable protection of multilayer containers under the effect of fires. |
