Measurements of the S - lineshape parameter of Doppler broadening were conducted for Fe -22at%Al, Fe-25at%Al and Fe -28at%Al alloys treated, with the same processes. The results show that the more the alloy's Al - content, the higher its vacancy concentration remains after quenching from high temperatures; vacancies recover faster for Fe-25at%Al and Fe -28at%Al than for Fe-22at%Al. The present experiments explain why the three alloys with slight difference in constitution need to be treated by different processes to obtain each other's own good properties. |
