| Abstract: | During the period of the Wenchuan Earthquake, the seismic damage of brick buildings is very severe. But ,on the other hand, the seimic damage also shows if the current code and its theory base for design and construction are followed extremely, the brick buildings still possess considerably fair aseismic capability, ever though they sufer the super-expected seismic intensity. Thus, it is resonable enough to adopt the brick buildings in higher seismic intensity zone. |
