Abstract: | ![]() Advocates the involvement of professional psychotherapists in facilitating therapy/support groups for gay persons. The special advantages of group therapy are discussed, as are guidelines for establishing a group. Effective therapist characteristics and strategies and typical psychological and group process issues, including a review of affirmative developmental models, are presented.
