SMT （surface mounted technology） is a widely used technique for produing electronic circuits boards. Static electricity,an electronic energy generated through tribocharging and induction,can cause great damage to SMT industry,espe-cially to static sensitive devices（SSDs）on integrated circuits boards. In order to effectively prevent the harmful effect caused by ESD in the production,the causes of generating the static electricity in manufacturing processes are analyzed,various SSDs are protected according to their classes and properties,and the precautions and regulations are established inside the company to en-sure the quality and safety of SMT.
