摘    要:微波功率模块(MPM)是集真空微波管技术与固态微波集成技术优点于一身的一种新兴微波功率源,具有体积小、重量轻、效率高、成本低等优点。研究了冷阴极触发管的特性及工作原理,提出了一种应用于微波功率模块中的自触发撬棒保护电路技术。它以冷阴极触发管为撬棒管,在行波管发生打火故障时,能快速释放高压电源储能电容上的能量,从而保护行波管和集成电源系统。实验结果表明该电路可以取得较好的性能,对系统可起到一定的保护作用。

Abstract:The microwave power module(MPM) is a new microwave power source, which combines vacuum microwave tube technique and solid-state microwave integrated circuit technique. MPM is small in volume, light in, high in efficiency and low in cost. Based on study of the characteristic and operating principle of the cold-cathode trigger tube, a self-triggering crowbar circuit applied in MPM is proposed. In this circuit, the cold-cathode trigger tube is used as a crowbar tube, which could quickly release the energy of storage capacitor in the high-voltage power source system wbile the traveling-wave tube sparks, thus realizing the protection of traveling-wave tube and IPC system. The experimental result shows that the circuit is of good performance, and could protect the system properly.
