Use of (NH4)3AlF6 in the synthesis of aluminum nitride powder

Conclusions A study was made of the kinetics of formation of aluminum nitride in a charge consisting initially of aluminum mixed with ammonium hexafluoroaluminate. It was established that the addition of (NH₄)₃AlF₆ increases the rate of nitriding of aluminum and decreases the energy of activation of the process.
