Abstract:
This paper introduces the type and installation mode of 10 kV arresters in Guangdong power grid,and investigates their failure modes.Comparative tests were conducted for the failed 10 kV arresters and the new ones,and the failure causes and installation problems of the 10 kV arresters in Guangdong power grid were analyzed.The results indicate that the resistance card specification,sealing performance,structure,installation mode,and earth resistance do not meet the requirements,which leading to frequent faults with the arresters in Guangdong power grid.Some corresponding suggestions are offered to enhance the reliability of the Guangdong power grid.
