| 摘 要： | 介绍了车牌识别的背景、意义和一般实现过程，阐述了小波变换和神经网络的基本理论，详细地分析和论述了小波变换和神经网络在车牌识别四个核心阶段（即图像预处理、车牌定位、字符分割和字符识别）中的应用，最后总结并对两者在车牌识别技术中的应用前景进行了展望。

| Abstract: | First,the background,significance and general implementation of vehicle license plate recognition(VLPR) are introduced.Then,basic theory of wavelet transform and neural network is expounded.And then,the applications of wavelet transform and neural network in four kernel stages(image preprocessing,vehicle license plate localization,character segmentation,vehicle license plate recognition,i.e.) of VLPR are analyzed and dissertated in detail.Finally,conclusion and suggestion on future research are given. |
