Abstract:This paper presents an alternating direction implicit difference scheme along characteristics for two-dimensional convection-diffusion equation based on Boole sum approximation and proves that the method is stable and convergent in discrete l2 norm with order. Finally, an example is computed by different interpolation methods and the numerical results show that the method in this paper is very effective.
