纳米SiO2疏水涂层对纸和纸板性能的影响

摘    要:目的对牛皮纸及瓦楞纸板进行纳米SiO_2疏水涂层处理后,探讨其对纸或纸板性能的影响。方法将纳米SiO_2和有机硅树脂混合制成疏水涂层,浸渍、喷涂于牛皮纸及瓦楞纸板表面,通过测试纸张接触角及可勃吸水值检验疏水效果,并测试纸张的抗张强度、耐折度、撕裂度、耐破度及检验瓦楞纸板的边压强度、平压强度、戳穿强度等物理性能。结果经表面混合树脂处理的疏水纸张的接触角为88.6°,可勃吸水值大大降低。随着涂层层数的增加,牛皮纸耐破度及瓦楞纸板平压强度均整体随之增长。经双涂层涂饰处理后瓦楞纸板的各物理性能均有较大提高,纳米SiO_2双涂层瓦楞纸板较单涂层瓦楞纸板力学性能更优良。结论纸张及纸板经纳米SiO_2疏水涂层处理后,不仅在一定程度上提高了纸张与纸板的疏水性能,对纸张与纸板的物理性能也有一定程度的改良,为实现纸或纸板的防水包装提供了一定的理论基础与处理方法。

Abstract:This paper discussed the effects of nano-silica hydrophobic coating on properties of kraft and corrugatedcardboard. The nano-silica and silicone resin were blended to prepare hydrophobic coating, which was dipped and sprayedon the surface of kraft and corrugated board. Effects of hydrophobicity were evaluated by contact angle and Cobb waterabsorption. Mechanical properties of kraft and corrugated board were evaluated by tensile strength, folding strength, tearingresistance, bursting strength, compression strength, flat crush strength, puncture strength. The contact angle of hydrophobicpaper after treatment with blended resin was 88.6° and Cobb water absorption obviously decreased. With increasing layernumber of the coating, the burst strength of kraft paper and the flat crush resistance of corrugated cardboard both showed arising trend. After treatment with double coating, all the physical properties of the corrugated board were greatly improved,and the mechanical properties of nano-silica double-coated corrugated cardboard were better than those of the corrugatedboard with single layer of coating. Paper and paperboard treated by hydrophobic treatment did not only show improvementin the hydrophobic properties of paper and cardboard, but also enhancement in the physical properties of paper andcardboard, which provides a theoretical basis and treatment method for the realization of waterproof packaging of paper orpaperboard.
