Abstract:
This paper discusses the extension of a concept for product- and process-independent factory automation to include functions
for the control and coordination of computer-aided manual work stations. Subsystems already implemented and standardised for
factory-wide integration in all production processes have been taken into account. They represent components of the computer-integrated
manufacturing factory of the future.
