Abstract: | Monoglyceride and Lecithin as Cause of Errors in the Atomic Absorption Analysis of Trace Metals in Oils and Fats Presence of monoglycerides and lecithin can at times cause considerable errors in the atomic absorption analysis of trace metals in oils and fats. This has been shown in test analyses of copper and iron. Errors can be avoided by applying a method, in which standard amounts of copper or iron are added to the sample. |
