Comprehensive Evaluation of X65 Seamless Linepipe for Pipe-laying Operation with Coiling Method

Considering the adverse conditions for deep-sea oil/gas transportation operation,stringent requi-rements for the property quality of linepipes for such purpose are specified.As a new marine pipe-laying process,the pipe-laying operation with coiling method features such advantages as rapid laying operation and low costs,etc.For this kind of pipe-laying operation,it is required for the linepipes to be in possession of excellent mechanical properties,weldability and corrosion resistance,and particularly anti-fatigue fracture property.Tests for comprehensive property evaluation of the Φ323.8 mm×20 mm PSL2 X65 seamless steel linepipe as made by a certain domestic company are conducted,resulting in the conclusion that the linepipe is in full compliance with the requirements for the above mentioned deep-sea pipe-laying operation with coiling method.
