| Abstract: | A new method based on the analysis of integral equations is proposed for calculating the properties of microstructured optical fibers (MOFs) and used for the analysis of modes in MOFs in the vicinity of critical conditions. Slow leaky modes are found that can influence the MOF transmission. |
