| Abstract: | Providing the raw materials for the compilation of "Science and TechnologyBulletin of Beijing" , the contributions to science and technology of ferrous metallurgy and engineering materials by the institute of Chemical Metallurgy in the period from 1950 up to the1990 are reviewed. The overview also display the spirit of the whole institute and the endeavors in the field of scientific research to support the national heavy industry construction andrational utilization of natural resources. These efforts has led to many important applicationsin the Chinese industries and establishment of a sound foundation for the development of newtechnology in China. |
