Abstract:The basic concept and development status of UPS has been analyzed. On the basis of a brief introduction of NCP1337 (a PWM current-mode controller for free running quasi-resonant operation), and in accordance with the actual development requirements, NCP1337 is adopted to design the AC-DC module of a 110 V AC input, 12 V/40 W DC output miniature UPS. The sub-circuit design of the AC-DC module has been analyzed specifically. At last, some relevant parameters of the AC-DC module have been validated through experiments. The experimental results show that the design of the AC-DC module meets the expected design requirements.
