Size-distortion is a system property. Tempering at room temperature over a long period of time influences the size stability. Material anisotropy leads to directional distortion. Shape distortion or warpage originates in residual stresses and differences within the material. Further a nonsymmetrical temperature distribution or geometry of the part have to be considered.
