Study of Fe/Al_2O_3 Catalyst for Selective Hydrogenation of Diolefines in Linear Internal Olefins
Abstract:A new type of Fe/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst is developed for selective hydrogenation of diolefins in linear internal olefins. The performance of the catalyst is featured by its excellent activity and good selectivity.The properties of the activated catalyst are investigated by temperature program reduction(TPR) and Mossbauer spectroscopy (MS). The results indicate that before sulfurization the iron on the support is Fe_2O_3 phase. When the catalyst is sulfurized Fe_2O_3 phase changes into Fe_(1-x)S phase. Increase in selectivity of catalyst occurs with increase of Fe_(1-x)S phase.
