Design of the Passive Low-energy Demonstrative Project of Shandong Chengjian College

The passive low-energy demonstrative project of Shandong Chengjian College is presented. The Passive House in Germany and Chinese passive low-energy green building are introduced as the back-ground of the demonstrative project. This project is the most complex and the largest project in the first batch of demonstrative buildings with passive low-energy techniques in Shandong province. The principle and method that was adopted by the architectural design, detailed design and mechanical system design of the project are explained. The experience acquired from the demonstrative project provides valuable input for the further development of the Chinese passive low-energy building technologies.
