摘    要:用高温熔融法制备了Tm2O3掺杂深度分别为1、2、3、4和5 wt%的82GeO2-8AlF3-10Na2O(摩尔比)的玻璃.从吸收光谱特性出发,应用Judd-Ofelt(J-O)理论,计算得到了Tm3+的J-O强度参数(Ω2,Ω4,Ω6)及Tm3+各激发态能级的自发跃迁几率、荧光分支比以及辐射寿命等光谱参量.在808...

Abstract:The 82GeO2-8AlF3-10Na2O(molar ratio) glasses containing Tm2O3 in 1,2,3,4,and 5 wt% concentration,respectively were fabricated by conventional high temperature melting method.According to the Judd-Ofelt(J-O) theory,the JO strength parameters(Ω2,Ω4,Ω6) of Tm3+,the radiative transition probabilities,the branching ratios and the radiative lifetimes were calculated.The fluorescence spectra(with 808 nm LD excitation) at ~1.47 and ~1.8 μm for various concentrations of Tm3+-doped glasses were observed.The results show that the emission intensity at ~1.8 μm reaches the maximum when the Tm2O3-doping concentration is ~3 wt.%,and then decreases as doping concentration increases further.Meanwhile,the absorption and emission cross sections corresponding to the 3F4→3H6 transitions of Tm3+ at 1.8 μm were estimated based on McCumber theory,and the gain cross section was calculated.The glasses are the new candidate materials for mid-infrared laser devices.
