| Abstract: | H.264 standard is jointly made by ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group and ISO-IEC MPEG Video Group, which is named joint video team(JVT). H.264 video coding standard uses a series of the newest compression technologies to enhance the compression ratio. This paper begins with a detailed introduction to the key modules of the new video coding standard H.264, followed by a discussion of its wide applications in such fields as digital TV, high definition TV and mobile communication. |
