Application of RE(Y)-Mg-Si-Fe Nodularizer to the Large Sectioned High Ductility Nodular Iron Castings

The RE(Y)-Mg-Si-Fe nodularizer had been used to cast heavy sectioned high ductile nodular iron cooling wall castings.Under the as cast conditions the high mechanical properties in the center of the castings were obtained successfully,they exceed the order's requirements and the standard of the America AC corporation.The elongation in the center of the casting is more than 17%,It is almost as the same level as that tested near the casting surface and the attaching specimens.
