A Preliminary Study on the Reclaiming Mechanism of Used Sand by Dry Methods

The reclaiming mechanism of used sand by dry methods were studied and disussed, by analysing the used sand grain forced and infering the varied form of residual film on used sand grain and the eliminated condition of residual film from used sand grain, in the reclaiming process of the centrifugal type mechanical reclaming machine. The author holds all kinds of dry reclaiming equipments of used sands are collid-rubbing ones seeing the reclaiming mechanism. But in order to obtain better reclaiming efficacy, could not add the collid-rubbing intensity in reclaiming process limitlessly, and should pay attention to take measures from foundry technology. For example, in resin sand casting, it should use the lower ratio of sand/metal and the longer time from pouring to shake out.
