| Abstract: | This paper suggests a frequency combination method and a reservoir level method to calculate both the staged limit water level in flood season and the design flood level. These methods are clear in frequency conception and practical in application. The paper applies the methods to the calculation of these two levels of Xinfengjiang Reservoir in Guangdong province and shows that the electricity generation benefit is greatly improved. The methods discussed in the paper can provide reliable basis for staged utilization of reservoirs. |
