Abstract: | Memorializes Alan N. Epstein (1932–1992). Epstein studied the biographical basis of behavior and was a pioneer in the field of behavioral neuroscience. He developed important concepts about the nature of ingestion and its biological underpinnings, as well as a model of its neuroendocrine basis.
