| Abstract: | Magnetic tape industry uses a mixture of fatty acids/fatty acid esters. This lubricant mixture transfers from the tape surface to the recording GMR head whereby they cause fouling the tape and enhances corrosion to the GMR head. The current study aims at finding a substitute lubricant that could make a bond with the binder and has no corrosive effect. |
