The BCS Gap equation within the van Hove scenario of high-Tc superconductivity

Abstract:We give an analytical approximation for the BCS Gap equation of an extended van Hove singularity. This model explains the high transition temperature Tc and the low isotope exponentsagr for small coupling parametersN0V.
