Abstract: | Contends that psychiatrists who are medication oriented can generally earn more money with less specialized training than can psychotherapy-oriented pychiatrists and that there is a tendency for them to believe that what they have not been trained in does not exist. The author cautions society against allowing medication-oriented psychiatrists to be the sole decision makers. (6 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) |
