Modelling of the cooling of a structural steel section using the finite element method

The paper deals with the simulation study of the cooling of hot‐rolled angles. The heat transfer model has been developed using the finite element method. Comparative analysis has been done of alternative cooling strategies in the context of the uniformity of the temperature profile engendered by each for camber alleviation.
