The Techniques of Using Embroidery in Modern Garment Design

Embroidery has been playing important role in the history of Chinese costumes. Embroidery was widely used on ancient Chinese costumes. However, with historical changes and the development of the times, embroidery is less used in modern garment. Now with people’s sense of traditional culture being enhanced and the development of embroidery technology, the techniques of using embroidery in modern garment has aroused more and more attention. The paper first introduces the development and characteristics of embroidery and then discusses the techniques of using embroidery in modern garment based on introducing the development modern embroidery technology.
