Validity data on a modified version of Pearson's Novelty Experiencing Scale.

Describes the validation of a modified version of Pearson's (1970) Novelty Experiencing Scale, using 232 female and 198 male 12th graders. Measures of external sensation-seeking, internal cognitive experience-seeking, internal sensation-seeking, and external cognitive experience-seeking all proved reliable, and factorially homogeneous. Intercorrelations among the measures, and correlations against Pearson's Desire-for-Novelty Scale resembled previous findings by P. H.
