| Abstract: | Flat steel has been adopted in old substation grounding networks in Shanghai area. Since the material is seriously corroded after a long period of operation, the grounding networks are being changed into copper-made ones successively. According to retrofit projects of several UHV substation grounding networks, the design and some detailed experience in construction were summarized and introduced. Primary analysis and discussion were conducted concerning the pros and cons in application of copper-made grounding network. |
