| Abstract: | The causes leading to an excess of total hydrocarbon content entering the main condenser/reboiler of an air separation unit in a refinery over the specified figures are analyzed.The paper highlights the preventive measures taken which resulted in the reduction of total hydrocarbon content in the main condenser/reboiler from previous 320×10 6 to current 95×10 6 .In conclusion,two schemes to be executed are worked out in an attempt to solve the problem mentioned above. |
